Our Farm
Shepherd Organic Produce & Poultry LLC is a Certified Organic farm owned and managed by Tyler & Hannah Shepherd in Hemlock, MI. They started their farm in 2018 and have been growing since! Produce and Poultry is available at select farmers markets in the area or at their market on the farm. We hope you enjoy our products!

What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and all financial assistance offered at farmers markets.
What does it mean to be Certified Organic?
To be Certified Organic means that as a farm we have gone through the process to Certify all of our Products we offer. We are certified through the Global Organic Alliance and each year we go through an inspection to re-certify our farm. This inspection includes providing all paperwork regarding seed information, compost information, and maps of our garden for the year to name a few!
Why are your prices so much higher than a conventional farm?
While we do everything we can to be competitive with other farmers, we are Certified Organic and that means that we pay more for our seeds, we spend more time tilling weeds, and we spend a lot of time washing our vegetables. Many conventional farms use treated seeds, spray chemicals to prevent weeds, and do not wash their products before selling at markets. We have to pay to ensure your safety!
